I am a Nationally
Certified Massage Therapist and have had a private practice in a
variety of professional settings since 1997. I am a volunteer member
of the Government Relations Committee of the National Certification
Board Of Therapeutic Massage And Bodywork and currently involved
in the promotion of massage therapy to the public and the advancement
of training and professionalism for massage therapists in California
and nationally.
EDUCATION
1996-1998 500hr.
Certified Therapeutic Massage Practitioner Program, Touching For
Health School Of Professional Bodywork, Stockton, Ca. Classes include
Advanced Anatomy and Physiology, Advanced Massage Theory and Practice,
Acupressure, Hydrotherapy, Medical Terminology, Indications/Contraindications,
Applied Kinesiology, and Structural Integration Techniques. Studies
included 68hrs. of college- level Human Behavior taught by Beverly
Breakey, MFCC.
1997-current
300hrs.+ Myofascial Release Training through Myofascial Release
Seminars taught by John F. Barnes, P.T. Training includes physiology
and anatomy, osteopathy, soft tissue, osseus and vertebral manipulation,
structural integration and alignment techniques, pediatric therapies
and cranial/sacral treatments. Training has included my working
as student therapist in clinic and as assistant instructor at seminars.
